About David Howard

David Howard’s path has led him from the deep, piney woods and Southern religious traditions of Washington, Georgia to a life of intense personal, musical and spiritual exploration.

At age 29, he was introduced to A Course in Miracles and marks his encounter with Marianne Williamson’s A Return to Love as a major turning point. He began an intense investigation of the teachings of the Unity, and later, Religious Science, all the while being drawn to the metaphysical wisdom of Emerson and Troward. It was an evolution that was further spurred by the Abraham teachings of Esther and Jerry Hicks, and, more recently, works by Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, Wayne Dyer, Marshall Rosenberg and others have further illumined and inspired his journey.

In addition to being a spiritual explorer and writer, David is a singer, songwriter, teacher and motivational speaker. He attended Augusta State University in east Georgia, where he studied music with a concentration in vocal performance, and he has performed in operas and musical theater professionally, sharing the stage with such celebrities as Ben Vereen, Ann Jillian, and Brooke Shields.

His 2007 CD release, Spark, is a collection of songs by Jackson Browne, David Gray, Jeff Black, and Sara Hickman, among others, and also includes one of his own, Cicadas.

David is currently serving as the Spiritual Leader at the Unity Church of Arlington and is working toward becoming a Licensed Unity Minister. David is a co-founder of The Center for Life Enrichment, a non-profit New Thought spiritual education center in Dallas, Texas. He was ordained by the Alliance of Divine Love in 1999, and served as a minister at The Center until 2006. He facilitates classes and workshops on meditation, prayer, the Law of Attraction, and “The Work” of Byron Katie.
